You Are Not Too Late, Sister

Hey friend,

Let’s talk about something that weighs on a lot of our hearts but often stays tucked behind quiet smiles and busy schedules—this feeling that maybe we’ve missed our moment. That we’ve somehow outlived our usefulness. That our best days are behind us.

If you’ve ever felt that, I want to lean in close and say: you are not too late.

Middle age can feel like this strange in-between season. The kids might be growing up or already grown. The dreams we carried in our twenties might feel like distant echoes. The reflection in the mirror looks wiser, maybe a little wearier. And yet… there’s still a flicker of more in our hearts.

That flicker is not foolishness.

It’s hope.

And hope is holy.

The enemy would love nothing more than for us to believe that our story has already been told—that we’re just living in the epilogue now. But that is not the voice of Truth. That is not the heart of our God.

Scripture says:

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” – Hebrews 10:23

Unswervingly. I love that word. It means with determination, without wavering, with stubborn faith. That’s how we’re called to hold on to hope—even when the season feels quiet, hidden, or uncertain.

Here’s the truth I’m clinging to, and I hope you will too:

God is still writing your story.

He’s still working in and through you.

There is still purpose in your steps.

There is still beauty ahead.

You are not forgotten. You are not too old. You are not behind.

You’re right on time—in God’s time.

So hold your head high, middle-aged sister. Keep dreaming. Keep praying. Keep believing. The best chapters of your life might just be the ones ahead—and Jesus will be right there in every single one of them.

With love and unshakable hope,

Brooke 🤍
